# What is the BlocTale DAO and how can I participate?

The BlocTale DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is the governance system for the BlocTale game, allowing token holders to participate in decision-making and the overall direction of the project. The DAO is powered by the BlocTale DAO Token (BLOC), which provides voting power to its holders.

To participate in the BlocTale DAO, you'll need to acquire BLOC tokens. Once you have BLOC tokens, you can engage in the following activities:

1. ***Propose new ideas:***\
   As a BLOC token holder, you can submit proposals for new features, game improvements, or changes to the existing ecosystem. These proposals are then voted on by the community.
2. ***Vote on proposals:***\
   BLOC token holders can vote on submitted proposals, influencing the direction and development of the game. The voting power of each holder is proportional to the number of BLOC tokens they hold.
3. ***Stay informed:***\
   DAO participants should keep up to date with the latest news, updates, and discussions in the BlocTale community to make informed decisions and contribute effectively to the governance process.

By actively participating in the BlocTale DAO, you can help shape the future of the game and ensure its ongoing success and growth.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://whitepaper.bloctale.com/bloctale/faq/what-is-the-bloctale-dao-and-how-can-i-participate.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
